Welded mesh saves labour on site, but only when the wire diameter and opening size match the job.
Welded wire mesh is made from drawn steel wires laid in two directions and welded at every crossing. Because the grid arrives ready-made, it replaces hand-tied bars in many jobs and saves time on site.
Where it is used
- Reinforcing concrete slabs, floors and screeds
- Walls and partitions
- Fencing and enclosures
- Cages and guards
The two figures that matter
Wire diameter decides the strength of the mesh. Our range runs from 2.0 to 6.0 mm.
Mesh size is the opening between wires, from 3 x 3 cm up to 20 x 20 cm. Small openings suit cages and guards; larger openings are usual for concrete reinforcement.
What to include in your inquiry
- Wire diameter in both directions
- Mesh opening size
- Sheet or roll dimensions
- Finish: plain or galvanized
- Quantity and delivery location
